ADI成功收購Symeo GmbH，引進因應工業和汽車市場的創新RADAR技術

台北2018年3月19日電 /美通社/ -- Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI)近日宣佈收購Symeo GmbH，該公司總部位於德國慕尼黑，為一私人公司，專注於新興無人駕駛汽車和工業應用的RADAR硬體和軟體。Symeo公司創新的訊號處理演算法將有助於ADI為客戶提供角精度和解析度均顯著提升的RADAR平台。

ADI自主交通運輸與安全部門副總裁Chris Jacobs指出：「憑藉此次收購，ADI將能為客戶提供功能更全面、競爭力更強的RADAR解決方案。ADI擁有領導業界的產品系列，Symeo公司具備系統和演算法方面的專業優勢，兩者結合將會帶來性能更高的RADAR解決方案，在自主系統中實現更加精準的感測功能。」

Symeo公司獨有的射頻和感測器技術能夠實現即時位置感測和距離測量，使系統整合商和OEM廠商能夠提供適用於惡劣工業環境的高精度RADAR解決方案，與ADI在此領域不斷擴充的市場解決方案系列形成互補。

Symeo公司的工業高精度RADAR技術最初是由Siemens AG公司(XETRA: SIE)所開發，於2005年由Siemens Technology Accelerator GmbH (STA)作為獨立實體衍生出來。

Siemens Technology Accelerator執行長Rudolf Freytag博士表示：「Symeo公司已逐漸成為工業RADAR解決方案的技術領導者，此次併購完成後，結合ADI公司的技術平台和廣泛的市場通路，必將推動工業領域的進一步創新，在汽車與航空航太市場亦是如此。」

Symeo公司團隊將加入ADI公司的自主交通運輸與安全(ATS)業務部門，仍位於慕尼黑。
