利馬的 Central 被列為 THE WORLD'S 50 BEST RESTAURANTS 2023 的 NO.1

Central in Lima, Peru is named The World's Best Restaurant 2023, sponsored by S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, as well as The Best Restaurant in South America, at the awards ceremony for The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 held in Valencia, Spain, this evening.

由大廚 Virgilio Martinez 與 Pía León 創立的旗艦利馬餐廳 Central 獲得 No.1，接替了 2022 得主，位於哥本哈根的 Geranium 的位置，後者現已再進一步，在 Best of the Best 名人堂中有一席之地。 

Central 作為秘魯的代表，在 2022 年的榜單中排名 No.2，其菜單宣揚了該國本土食材獨特的生物多樣性，研究專案 Mater Iniciativa 為此提供指導，讓菜單保持傳統、體現歷史的同時，又能倡導永續發展。緊隨 Central 之後的是巴塞隆拿的 Disfrutar (No.2) 及馬德里的 Diverxo (No.3)。

南美洲共有九間餐廳上榜，包括兩間新入選的餐廳：利馬的 Kjolle (No.28) 及波哥大的 El Chato (No.33) 。亞洲共有七間餐廳榜上有名，包括新加坡的 Odette，被列為 The Best Restaurant in Asia (No.14)，以及新入選的餐廳，包括曼谷的 Le Du (No.15) 及 Gaggan Anand (No.17)，東京的 Sézanne (No.37)。兩間杜拜的餐廳首次進入名單：Trèsind Studio (No.11) 被列為 The Best Restaurant in Middle East & Africa，以及 Orfali Bros Bistro (No.46)。
